The University of Baguio recently invited Accenture, Inc. for an initial touchpoint meeting to explore prospective partnership programs that will be set to launch this semester. Centering around collaborations supporting the School of Information Technology (SIT) and the School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA), the discussions focused on initiatives that aim to strengthen industry-academe engagement and enhance student and faculty development.
In attendance during the meeting was SIT Dean Dr. Ellen Halover and SBAA Dean Dr. John Balanquit, along with the Linkages Office Director Ms. Melanie Rulla-Saro. Representing Accenture were HR Service Delivery Associate Ms. Princess Caranto and Ms. Raine Fernandez.
During the meeting, both parties identified key areas of collaboration involving internship opportunities, faculty immersion programs, learning and recruitment sessions, Accenture Academy initiatives, and various online training programs.
These initiatives are set to be formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandum of Services (MOS) document.
These ventures are crucial for the University of Baguio, as it continues to further its dedication to providing balanced, quality education (SDG No. 4) through external industry partnerships that provide the resources necessary for career development on a global scale (SDG No. 17).
