The fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy interns of the University of Baguio, in partnership with the University of Baguio – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UB JPIA), successfully held an academic webinar titled “From Source to Statement: Mastering Tracing and Vouching Techniques” on October 18, 2025. The event, attended by 107 participants all over the Philippines, was part of the Internship Congress series organized by the fourth-year OJTs to promote learning and professional growth among Accountancy students.
The webinar featured a guest speaker, Ms. Jannah Rose P. Kindao, CPA, a University of Baguio SBAA alumni, a Tax Associate at SGV Makati and a May 2025 CPA Licensure Exam passer, who shared her expertise on the auditing concepts of tracing and vouching. She also engaged participants through interactive discussions and offered valuable insights on preparing for the CPA Board Exam, sharing her personal experiences, challenges, and advice for aspiring accountants.
Based on post-event evaluation results, participants gave highly positive feedback, noting that the webinar was informative, engaging, and relevant to their academic and professional goals. The event achieved its objectives of strengthening auditing knowledge, inspiring continuous learning, and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8).
