JECruary: Crafting Hearts and Memories – A Celebration of Love, Confessions, and Relaxation

February, the month of love, has taken on a new dimension with the introduction of “JECruary,” a celebration hosted by the School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA) Junior Executive Circle (JEC). JECruary strived to enlighten hearts, provide relaxation after the stress of exams, and create a one-of-a-kind forum for confessions. This month-long event features a delightful array of activities, including Brownie and Cupcake Selling, Letter Writing and Delivery, a Wedding-Themed Photobooth, and a Theater Room, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

The month dedicated to love and celebration began on a wonderful note. Everyone received an invitation to indulge their sweet tooth. Enjoying delicious brownies and cupcakes not only fulfilled their cravings but also added a sugary joy to the entire event. More than just a treat, each delicious bite played a part in creating a vibrant atmosphere and supporting JEC initiatives. It resulted in a sweet harmony of community involvement that resonated throughout the festivities. Moreover, JEC embraced nostalgia with its handwritten letters and led participants on a journey to rediscover the allure of expressing feelings through this timeless mode of communication. Individuals were able to jot down their sentiments, transforming them into meaningful letters that were then directly delivered to their special someone.

Furthermore, the Junior Executive Circle went beyond handwritten notes, completely embodying the spirit of “Feb-ibig” with a Wedding-Themed Photobooth. Participants enthusiastically immersed themselves in the joy of a pretend wedding ceremony, complete with whimsical props and a photoshoot. JECruary’s celebration continued in the Theater Room, a refuge away from the stresses of exams. The room was transformed into a cinematic hideaway, with a carefully picked selection of films spanning the Romance, Horror, and Comedy genres. Films like “Weathering With You,” “Talk to Me,” and even the classic “Barbie” graced the screening list, creating a setting for students and attendees to unwind and seek entertainment.

As JECruary came to a close, the sweet tastes, messages, photos, and cinematic excursions left an impression on our memories, creating an amazing tapestry that defined this special celebration. JECruary served as a reminder that love, community, and celebration are timeless values.

The activity was spearheaded by JEC officers, some of whom are on-the-job trainees (OJT) to address United Nations SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
