SBAA students among the crowd during the 2023 InternationalWomen’s Month celebration

“We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” is this year’s title for the Women’s month celebration. The City enthusiastically observed Women’s Month throughout the entire month of March. It aspires to advance gender equality nationally as well as internationally. Additionally, students from the School of Business Administration and Accountancy participated in the events, particularly the parade.

The city created a calendar of events to commemorate the occasion that focused on women advocacies. The Women’s Month parade, where numerous agencies and organizations gathered, was one of the listed events. On March 16, 2023, the Women’s Month Parade was held and of course, a program was held at the PFVR Gymnasium before the walk. Numerous government representatives, agencies, and organizations were there such as Girls Scout of the Philippines – Baguio, Department of Trade and Industry, Kalipi, PMA, CHR, DICT, and others. Furthermore, during the program, Outstanding Women Leaders of Baguio were recognized.

Students from the University of Baguio’s School of Business Administration and Accountancy were present in the crowd during the program and the parade. With their HTEs and the organization they are a part of, a total of 10 SBAA students were able to participate in the Women’s Month parade. The Pasa-Kalye Group of Artists, Girls Scouts of the Philippines – Baguio, Baguio Tourism Office and the Department of Trade and Industry were the HTEs and organizations. In addition to the celebration, other HTEs arranged various events to honor women’s month, such as “Serbisyo para kay Juana” by the Department of Trade and Industry.
