In an effort toward enhancing each SBAA student’s sense of awareness, and identity,
Cherry Ann Guitoc, an Accountancy student at the University of Baguio (UB), showcased her exceptional talent in taxation, securing the first runner-up position in the prestigious “Philippines’ Brightest Buwis Masters” (PBBM) competition of 2023. With the guidance of esteemed faculty members and the support of UB’s School of Business Administration and Accountancy, Guitoc and five other UB students demonstrated their expertise in the field. The regional-level competition witnessed fierce competition among universities and colleges in the Cordillera region, further highlighting UB’s excellence. Guitoc’s impressive achievement, along with the revival of the tax quiz bee after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, emphasizes the commitment to learning and growth within the field of accountancy at UB.
